Macleay Church Resources for Project Approval

July 14, 2025 — Footings Complete!

The footings have been poured and form boards have been stripped and cleaned, setting up for stem wall construction. Thank you to all the hands and hearts who volunteered to help expedite progress on the new church foundation!

July 26, 2025 — Stem Walls Complete!

The stem walls are now in place, and the gravel base is being carefully prepared for the next big milestone: pouring the slab foundation. It’s a blessing to witness steady progress as this space takes shape — a space that will one day welcome worship, fellowship, and service. We’re deeply thankful for the many hands and hearts contributing along the way. Your faith in this shared vision is building more than just walls — it’s laying a foundation for ministry and community for years to come.

August 15, 2025 — Slab Foundation Complete!
The slab foundation has been poured, and the crew is moving into the next exciting stage: framing the narthex and sanctuary. Our hope is to get this portion far enough along before the fall rains arrive. In addition, the fire retention pond and septic system have been installed, with only finishing touches remaining. A heartfelt thank-you to all the crew and volunteers whose time and energy continue to bless this project and help bring our new church home to life!

September 2025 — Framing Underway
The fire water pond and outdoor system have been installed. Construction has now moved into framing the kitchen/dining and sunday school wings, which will provide cover for the larger task of framing the narthex and sanctuary. Site prep / grading is in progress as the site looks very different than it did just a few months ago.

We are deeply grateful to the construction crew and all the volunteers whose dedication and service continue to move this project forward.

October 2025 — Trusses

Trusses are being installed and framing continues throughout the building. The parking lot grading and landscaping areas — including the detention pond — are also taking shape. It’s inspiring to see steady progress each week!

November 2025 — Framing Progress Continues
Framing of the Sunday School and Kitchen/Dining/Baby Room wings is moving forward steadily, with current efforts focused on getting these areas dried in. Once enclosed, the crew will shift to the more complex framing of the narthex and sanctuary.

January 2026 — Narthex & Sanctuary Framing Underway

The more complex framing of the narthex and sanctuary is making good progress. Major beams have been assembled and are now being set in place, paving the way for final framing in these key areas.

We’re especially thankful for the stretch of good weather — and the timing of it — which has allowed this work to move forward smoothly. We give thanks for God’s faithful provision and timing, and we’re encouraged as this space continues to take shape as a place for worship, fellowship, and discipleship.

February 2026 — Narthex & Sanctuary Nearing Dry-In
The more complex framing of the narthex and sanctuary is nearly complete. Major beams are now in place, and roofing with the weather-barrier system has been installed. As framing wraps up, the plumbing, HVAC, and electrical trades will begin their work throughout the building.

We’re thankful the good stretch of weather held out — it truly made a difference for the project. And we are deeply grateful for the continued prayers and volunteer support; they have been felt and are making an impact as we move forward with confidence and hope.

March 2026 — Building Dried In & Interior Work Advancing
The building is now dried in, with most windows installed, and significant progress is being made by the trades. Fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and low-voltage systems (including audio/video) are all actively moving forward. Exterior porches and outdoor areas are also nearing completion in framing.

Next up, the covered entry area at the front will take shape. As the trades complete their work, walls will begin to close in, followed by drywall installation and the transition into finish work — including trim, doors, and other interior details that will bring the space to life.

Over the coming month, we expect continued momentum as rough-in work wraps up, inspections are completed, and visible interior progress accelerates. We’re thankful for how smoothly things are coming together and grateful for the many hands, prayers, and support that continue to carry this project forward. With steady progress, we look ahead with anticipation toward completion later this summer.
